Meet our Minnesota Women Founders

Isadore Nut Company

Tasya Rosenfeld Kelen named her nut mix company after her grandfather Isadore who sought organic food in the 1950s. Her father inspired clean, healthy eating, and combined with a passion for locally sourced, high quality ingredients she created well loved combinations of delicious and nutritious roast nut snacks. Her local Zesty Lemon Rosemary was named a finalist in the national Good Food Awards.

Sweet Jules Caramels

Sisters Jules Vranian and Hope Klocker grew up in a family restaurant and received the much-loved caramels from their Aunt Rosie every Christmas. They loved the candy they decided to share caramel happiness by opening Sweet Jules Gifts in 2009. Sweet Jules caramels are made with organic MN cream, real vanilla beans, and other fine ingredients valued for their exceptional flavors. Their classic flavor, Dark Chocolate Pecan, swept the International Chocolate Salon, winning the Gold Award for Top Caramel.

Serious Jam

Heidi Skoog is the owner and founder of Serious Jam. After nearly two decades as an award-winning florist, she swapped blooms for an apron to pursue her passion for food. A self-taught jam-maker, Heidi combines traditional methods and a flair for experimenting with flavor combinations and unusual ingredients. The result is a well-balanced, vibrant preserve that has a lot of love and story in every jar. With a focus on sourcing organic and local ingredients, Serious Jam is committed to supporting small farms, sustainable agriculture, and building strong relationships within the local food scene.

Thumbs Cookies

Robyn Frank started Thumbs Cookies out of her Brooklyn apartment after wanting to do something that she enjoyed and cared about. She learned to make the tiny cookies growing up in MN with her mom Barb. Barb thought to make them small, so you can eat as many as you want! Thumbs Cookies are available for wedding favors.

Hip Pop Popcorn

Great snacking leads to great experiences which is why Heather Jansen wanted to create a snack that reflected her view on life: have fun, be bold and enjoy every minute. Each small batch is handcrafted with bold, delicious flavors and packed with love knowing that a fun snacking experience awaits.

Humble Nut Butter

Jess and John Waller created Humble Nut Butter after years of searching for less sweet, more savory snacks that were both healthy and tasty. They chose the name Humble because let's be honest, the world could benefit from a little more humility. As it relates to food; food should be real, honest, nutritious and tasty and not done in a self-congratulatory way, but because it’s the right thing to do. Humble is proud to be woman-owned and an inclusive employer.

Mademoiselle Miel

Susan Brown is the creator behind the exquisite Mademoiselle Miel. From various rooftops around beautiful Saint Paul, this beekeeping chocolatier collects honey to create distinctive honey bon-bons and other tantalizing confections. She has been awarded Top Ten Chocolatier of North America and received a bronze medal in the 2018 International Chocolate Awards. Locally she has been voted “Best of the Twin Cities” several times as well as MN Bride Magazine’s Best Wedding Favors and more.
